NEW OPPORTUNITIES FOR INNOVATIONS IN STATISTICAL TEORY AND PRACTICE - GEOCODING OF SOCIAL SURVEYS

Abstract: The aim of this study is to analyze the practically unlimited possibilities of the population grid to provide even more diverse subnational data with longer time series. Added value for statistical science and practice can also be realized in terms of improving the quality of social survey samples. The analysis combines aspects of administrative-territorial, territorial and functional geographical zoning for statistical and analytical purposes, application of territorial typologies in different national and European policies, issues related to theory sampling and the possibilities of data estimation methods for small territorial units ( From English - Small Area Estimation Methods (SAE) The questions raised are relevant in the long run, as the challenges outlined in the article will be present on the agenda with each reorganization of the country and Europe.
