STUDY OF THE DYNAMICS OF EXPENDITURE FOR THE EDUCATION SECTOR IN BULGARIA FOR THE PERIOD 2000 - 2020

Abstract: The study of education expenditures aims to assess how education in Bulgaria is financed, what is the amount of funds allocated to the sector and from which sources, as well as whether the different ways of financing lead to improvement in the quality and access to education in the country or vice versa. It is also interesting to evaluate whether, at some levels of education, private funding does not replace public funding, or whether there is no overfunding of certain activities, and whether public funding for the sector is comparable to the EU average levels.
